Each school has a group of elected representatives from its community, that consists of both parents and community members at-large, which work with school administration in the development of school learning goals or improvement plans. The School Community Council at Norman Carter School consists of 9 members: 6 community members, the school principal, a staff representative and the Division Board member for the area.
The SCC meets six times per year, including an Annual General Meeting, and members sit for a two-year period. Members are able to run for consecutive terms. The next Norman Carter School SCC meeting will take place on October 3, 2017 in the school library at 7:00pm.
