Hazel Asmussen Fund Scholarship

Deadline:  March 31, 2018

A $1,019 scholarship for a student who is pursuing post-secondary education in the fine arts.  Applications are available at the SSO.

Canadian Association of Principals Student Leadership Award

Deadline: March 1, 2018

12 x $250, based on outstanding leadership in the school and community, academic achievement, and recognition of other awards.  Local school nominates one candidate, so let SSO know if you are interested and visit the website for application form.


CAA Saskatchewan Entrance Scholarship

Deadline:  In March – date varies depending on institute attending

A $2,500 scholarship is available to the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina. Applicants must be either a CAA Saskatchewan Member or a child of a Member.

$5,000 is available to Saskatchewan Polytechnic with the breakdown as follows: $2,500 is allocated between the Automotive Service Technician programs in Moose Jaw (Palliser Campus) and Saskatoon (Kelsey Campus) and $2,500 is allocated for the Auto Body Technician program in Regina (Wascana Campus). The CAA scholarships at Saskatchewan Polytechnic are available to CAA Saskatchewan Members and non-members.


John Evans Engineering Entrance Award

Deadline:  March 19, 2018

A $5,000 award for women who are following an engineering path.  This award is NOT based on academic achievement.  Bonus . . . it includes an engineering work placement opportunity!


John Evans Champion Award

Deadline: March 19, 2018

A $250 monetary award to an applicant with exceptional qualifications in recognition of their leadership and community activities.


Leonard Foundation

Deadline:  March 15, 2018               

For students pursuing a degree in Education or Divinity, there are 140 awards of $1,000 to $1,500 available with preference given to a son/daughter of clergy, teacher, military, engineer or mining.  You must also plan on obtaining employment during your free time to help defray the costs and regularly participate in athletic, fitness or militia activities.


Peter Lewochko Scolarship

Deadline:  March 31, 2018

Two scholarships in the amount of $3,642 are available to students who are pursuing engineering, agriculture or education programs in the fall.  They must have a 75% average and demonstrate financial need.  Applications are available at the SSO.


Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarships


Deadline: March 15, 2018  

20 x $500, for grade 11 students demonstrating leadership, financial need, academic performance, and responsibilities outside of school.  Applications online.  Please note that you need a letter of recommendation. 


Queen's Diamond Jubilee Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2018 

$1000 for demonstration of leadership, financial need, responsibilities outside of school and academic performance. 



Remax Quest for Excellence Bursary

Deadline March 12, 2018   

16 x $1000 and 1 flight for two in the Re/Max Hot Air Balloon. Write an essay which conveys your motivation, leadership and communication in connection with your community efforts. Online applications only.  Applications open in September.



SaskTel Scholarships

Deadline:  March 31, 2018

7 scholarships of $3,000 will be awarded to students attending post-secondary programs (degree or certificate) related to telecommunications (for example; computer science, electrical engineering, computer software engineer, accounting, business administration).  Minimum average of 75% required.  Additional scholarship opportunities listed on their website.



Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship

Deadline: March 1, 2018 

Amount 1 x $4,000 and 3 x $2,000.  Applicant must produce a three-minute video OR write a well-researched fact based 1000-word essay highlighting their 'food story' – the relationship between agriculture and the food they eat (see website for more info).  Must show proof of acceptance to a post-secondary institute (in an agriculture-related program) and letter of recommendation of teacher or agricultural industry or community leader. 



Saskatchewan Power/Energy Bursaries

Deadline:  March 31, 2018

42 industry and trades awards available with amounts varying from $500 - $3,000.  Students must be enrolled in the following electrical industry-related programs: business administration, management studies, electrical engineering, industrial systems engineering, electronic systems engineering, civil engineering, environmental systems engineering, power engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, electrical engineering technology, civil engineering technology, instrumentation engineering technology, chemistry or business information systems.



Stacey Levitt Memorial Award        

Deadline:  March 1, 2018

$2,500 award for involvement in school or community.  The award is in honor of Stacey, a high school student in Toronto, who was accidentally killed by a car while out jogging. In her memory, Stacey's parents created an annual $2,500 award for a student who emulates the spirit and ideals that their daughter had before her tragic passing. The award could be put towards an educational endeavor, engagement in sports, or investment in a travel experience.




Teen-Aid Saskatchewan

Deadline:  March 1, 2018

$1000 will be awarded to a student who writes a 1000-word essay and delivers a speech about chastity.  See the website for more information. 


Union of National Employees Bursaries

Deadline: March 31, 2018   

Various bursaries available ranging from $500 to $2,000.  You or your parent MUST be a member of the Union of National Employees.  Visit the website for criteria, as you may have to submit an essay. 



University of Regina Entrance Awards      

Deadline:  March 15, 2018
