If you like to run, jump or throw, join the Vikings Track and Field Team!
The outdoor season of Track and Field starts near the end of March and ends the first week in June. All students Grades 7 to 12 are welcome to come out. Athletes will receive coaching in all events from sprinting and mid-distance running to triple, long and high jump. Athletes can also experience and train in all 3 throws: discus, shot and javelin. Practices start inside and move outside weather permitting. We practice 3 times a week (practices are mandatory to compete) and attend one invitational track meet in May. We train hard to bring the best team to Districts and the top two athletes at Districts from Grade 9-12 move on to compete in Provincials.
