From the Shelves of Bready School Library

Another successful year is drawing to a close.  Students at Bready School are avid readers. They love to read all kinds of books: mysteries, graphic novels, picture books, nonfiction, chapter books, and more.  Bready Library wants students to become lifelong learners through the love of reading.

You can encourage and participate with your child's love of reading by taking your child to the North Battleford Public Library this summer.  The NB library has many summer reading programs, as well as an extensive collection sure to engage any interest your child may have.  The library also has a website with free data bases as well as an extensive e-book collection for anyone with a compatible e-reader or other electronic device. The NB library is open Monday to Friday in July and August.  There is so much to offer at the North Battleford Public Library, and best of all, it's FREE.

Also, if you have a computer at home, you can access free online books through our library website.  Just click on "library page" at the top of our home page. On the right side of the page, click on OverDrive  to access ebooks for free.  We also have a link to the North Battleford Library website, at the bottom of Bready School library page.

Share the wonder of books with your child this summer.  It's a great way to while away the summer hours. Happy reading!

Students in our school division have access to a selection of ebooks through a program called Overdrive. Students can access these ebooks on a tablet or computer by clicking on the "Overdrive" icon to the right. Students will need their user name and password, which they can get from their teacher. Give it a try. There are picture books, non fiction, fiction, graphic novels, young adult and more.
