Differentiated Instruction

To differentiate instruction is to recognize students’ varying background knowledge, readiness, learning profile, and interests, and to respond to these differences.

Living Sky School Division has chosen to focus on differentiation as a means of supporting all students in achieving their maximum growth.  Four professional development days are dedicated to the components of differentiation listed below.  The fours day experience will integrate curriculum renewal, Understanding by Design, Response to Intervention and Differentiation.  Teachers will be immersed in an environment that will encourage a re-visioning of instructional practices.
