Students in kindergarten to grade two ran and walked the first lap of a one km route. There were over 100 students and 20 parents participating in either a 3km or 5km race. All participates received a gift bag and numbered running bibs, there was even a digital clock for participates to time their run. During the year students and staff participated in a Walk/Run Club which helped the students prepare for this event. The streets around Bready School were rocking with music supplied by Century Sound, people cheering and all the participants running and walking. We even had a few pets participate. After the race, prizes were awarded to all participants. We even had 2 bikes and a Wii game, thanks to all the sponsors. The celebrations continued until lunch when Bready School had a hot dog barbeque, with drinks and watermelon. Stay tuned and watch our event grow even bigger next year.
